To travel or not to travel?

My latest paranoia is ….should I travel with my baby?

For the last few weeks, I have been trying to decide whether or not I should visit relatives in Taiwan and Hong Kong with Chichi.

We have grandparents and also great grandparents there to visit. It would be a wonderful experience to see them interact, for sure. (more…)

Paranoid about SIDS

I don’t think any paranoid mommy blog would be complete without a post about SIDS.

If there’s one fear that parents have in common it’s SIDS (Sudden infant death syndrome).  (more…)

Diaper Rash

Diaper rash is an extremely common condition, affecting anywhere between 25-50% of babies.  In the milder stages, you may see dryness, redness (often shiny), peeling and irritation.  In more severe stages, it may include extensive red bumps which may or may not be pus filled.

HydraSense Nasal Aspirator Review

The HydraSense nasal aspirator is something that I use daily (if not, every other day) with my baby.

As a pharmacist, I fill a fair bit of prescriptions for children and babies.  As a mom, the last thing you want to do is wait forever at a pharmacy with your sick baby.

Here are some tips to help ensure a happy experience at your local pharmacy. (more…)

Baby diaper change

I’ve been diapering for a few months now, so I thought I might share some tips and tricks I’ve learned for diapering.  Some of these tricks I picked up from the friendly nurses while I was in the hospital from Chichi’s preemie days, so if you still have a nurse around, ask them for tips too!

If you’re a soon-to-be mom and you’re worried that you don’t know how to diaper-don’t.  Trust me, you learn pretty fast, and you learn even faster once you’ve had a few poop and pee related accidents. (more…)
